Goblin returned to NYC exactly one year to the date, this time doing the live score for the 1982 Dario Argento film Tenebre.  The format was the same, they do the film score then do a "greatest hits" run through after the movie ends.  Some technical pixilation issues happened throughout the film but nothing got paused and Goblin played on.

Keyboardist Claudio Simonetti has kept this band up year after year.  There is always a film to rotate. It seems like they've been doing their tour runs around Halloween-time.  Of course, nowadays Halloween is an extended 10 day to 2 week holiday as you could see costumes in the streets one week out.  I never seemed to think of Goblin as a seasonal band with Horror being a year-round concept.

The famous scene that sets the stage is mouth getting stuffed with pages from a book while the throat cutting happens.  Argento has a way with humor, sex and violence all mixed together.  Much like life itself.  Men are cads, women are vengeful and petty whether straight or lesbian, boys will be boys and everyone has ulterior motives.  Who is innocent?  Who is guilty? Who is sane? Who has a trick up their sleeve?  Goblin provide a backdrop mostly to the murder scenes, but sometimes there needs to be a dramatic soundtrack such as the young girl running away from an angry dog that gives chase in a desolate area, only to be locked into the killers lair.

After the outro credits you get score highlights from of course Susperia (complete with audience sing-along intro for a Simonetti recorded phone clip to send to his wife) as well as Demons (Demoni), Phenomena and last years tribute film Deep Red.
