With the Saints 73-78 show in the past, Ed Kuepper used an off night for a duo show with drummer Jim White. They have a new album called After The Flood which most of the set was from. Ed noted you couldn't buy it at the show but it was streamable and sounds great. My favorite song was "The 16 Days" because Ed was not bothered. At all! With the duo sitting, it was hard to get a vantage point once the room filled up, but I got back toward the front at the end.
Mick Harvey, also in this Saints lineup did an opening with keyboardist "Paul"--I'm pretty sure Paul Wallfisch. He was having some cable issues throughout the show which made for distracting comic relief. It sounded like there was minimal rehearsal and stated improvision but aside from the bad cable blares it sounded like good accompaniment. Mick did his big hit "Bonnie & Clyde."
