I survived three days of doing merch at DesertFest.  This was the night the table was in the room with the stage since it was the pre-party at the Meadows.  A few late nights and suddenly I have a backlog of things to write and post so I'm gonna keep it short and sweet.  

Legions of Doom were among the best bands of the festival with those cumulative histories to Trouble, C.O.C. and The Skull not keeping them mired in nostalgia.  Satan's Satyrs have been around a bit, added Mirror Queens guitarist Morgan and continuing in a speedier rock approach. The two day rush to get their new album for the merch table created UPS delays, but they had a catalog and we had the album for the rest of DesertFest.   Mirror Queen keep on chuggin with Dying Days shipment just coming in time for the festival.   Mustafina cut a single for Tee Pee but  that wasn't done yet.  I see them a ton  around town so I have more to say some other time.   There you have it...opening night!  I'll let The Obelisk chime in for more details.
