The last time I saw the Mekons, The Curse of the Mekons was the new release and the year was 1991 at the long gone Nightstage in Cambridge, MA.  35 years on, the band seemed a little less rocking and a little more subdued but not wholly out of character.  There was a little more drunken banter as the band had played a show earlier in the evening.

There were difference in the two shows.  The late crowd got exclusives on "Land Ahoy," "Secrets," "Big Zombie," "Tina and "Where Were You?" but missed out on"Keep On Hoppin'," "Simone On The Beach," "Mudcrawlers" and "Dickie, Chalkie & Nobby (Young Men In Peacetime)."  The new album Horror got 4 songs and much of their catalog got 2 or 3 songs.  They have a Dub Remix album coming out in the middle of the month to keep it going.
