I heard a few tracks by The Cadiff (or I guess London now sez Bandcamp) band The Tubs. They have two vocalist and one of them sounds like a speedy Nick Saloman. Other people have compared Owen William's voice to Richard Thompson and I thought that too, but the guitar liscks sound like poppier Bevis Frond songs. That didn't really transfer as well live, I feel this is a band I prefer their recordings. It might be a style thing where I'd rather hear it than see it. I'm streaming their latest album Cotton Crown as I write this and the songs are good.
After I got my wristband at 7 ("freed out" as is typical for Union Pool's free shows). I met up with some people chatting in the outside area and didn't realize Low Healer were on until they had about 4 songs to go, so I went in at that point. They were doing a rudimentary indie rock thing led by Nicola Leel. I think they were playing kind of recently and it seems I had checked out their music fairly recently to see what was going on a random night but that's about all I know of Low Healer except that I keep typoing and thinking "Low Rider" and forgetting the actual name.
