This concert was presented by the Krakow based Unsound Festival is according to Lincoln Center "co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland from the Culture Promotion Fund in partnership with the Adam Mickiewicz Institute. The main partner of Unsound Web KRK – NYC is the Polish National Foundation."  That means that the concert was sold very little--I bought my advance ticket online a couple months ago for $5.

This was one of those performances that cell phone photos were verboten during the performance.  There were projections not only on the stage but on screens left and right, so that made sense in this situation.  The ushers were enforcing it.  They also were holding people outside for Henali & Sienko during their initial drone piece, so I took footage of the wall while they were playing.  I also got the stage set up for Cale which included a piano used for one song, an organ that Cale went to and ultimately didn't play on, a keyboard which he mostly stuck to  and a guitar that serve for the opening song "Shark-Shark" from his latest album POPtical Illusion.  This album was new the last time I saw Cale which was in Prospect Park, but he is no longer featuring the album although he did that kick-off.  He has issued a companion album this year entitled MiXology Vol. 1 which is a meant as a companion remix album to POPtical Illusion and the prior album MERCY.   He followed that song up with "Captain Jack" which was on the first solo Cale album I ever bought, Sabotage Live.  "Big White Cloud" appeared from Vintage Violence. "Leaving It Up To You" and "My Maria" came from Helen of Troy.
Cale had some VU tributing:  Nico's "Frozen Warnings" came from the Marble Index. "If You Were Still Around" from 1982's Music For A New Society took on a different meaning when images of Lou Reed & Sterling Morrison were in the background.

I was finally able to enter Heinali & Andriana-Yaroslava Sienko's performance at 8 to hear Sienkos gorgeous Ukrainian vocals and Heinali's electronics.  I didn't even trip over anyone trying to blindly find my (taken) seat.  There were open seats near mine, but I ended up moving to the side at intermission with a friend that had a closer one.  Better seats but there was no "sneaking" my standard 30 second clips since it was a prime usher enforcement zone.  Somebody else I knew found notes on stage for the opening song, so I got snaps of those below.
