I hadn't seen the Cheater Slicks since I played with them on a Billy Ruane birthday showcase around 1991 or 2.  They moved to Columbus and while there was scuttlebutt that they played at some point or another, I never caught wind of it.  I remembered why I liked them so much.  There's a very singular take of this garage-punk.  Amped up loud with some 7" obscurities from the past was their original game.  They haven't changed much, just got older and grittier like everyone else that was around when they started playing.

Atlantic Thrills from Providence wore masks sometimes and blasted away.  Liquor Store did a more straight rock approach.  Everyone sounded good and it was a show worth seeing.
