The veteran pair of Alligator recordings artists made their way to Iridium on a Saturday night.  My friend Kenny had some history seeing both of these guys years ago--close to 40 for Coco Montoya.  Montoya started as a drummer for Albert Collins in the 70's then became a guitarist in the 80's for John Mayall's Bluesbreakers.  His solo debut came in 1994.  Ronnie Baker Brooks started as a guitar understudy to his father, Lonnie Brooks.  Ronnie released his solo debut album in 1998.

Coco is left handed and sings in an easy going but rich manner.  Brooks is a bit more of a showman.  He is going to give you songs for the ladies per BB King's instruction.  Both are now seasoned established veteran Blues recording artists.
