Joey Truman, made famous singing for the Dishwashers with John Lyons and later Um puts together a quarterly gig at Tom Eurin's Studio in Gowanus.  Last time I was there, I remembered the stage in the middle of the front of the room but now it is boxed in behind another stage while a "house" exhibition sits where I think the old stage was.

Tonight I was debuting my own new band with Joey's previous bandmate John Lyons who toiled in the 90's and aughts in the Barnyard Playboys and has early 80's Portland, OR hardcore roots with Osgood Slaughter.  Jubal was also from Portland and played with me in Saint Bastard 20 years ago before being in the Jack Bennies.  For now we are called Land-Line, although like the material, we are a work in progress so that may change.  To date we have considered calling ourselves The Chimes, Dull Chimes, Worcester, Worcester, Michigan, and Dave and the Dogs. I don’t have any photos or clips of this momentous debut, but if someone took something and sends it my way, I’ll add it to this page.

One of Rob Conger's many bands, The Last Throes, played after us.  Rob played in the Jack Bennies with Jubal and Jubal didn't even realize he was playing.  Joey Truman did some reading with various musicians before and after the Last Throes, including the Um/Alice Donut contingent of Michael Jung and Stephen Moses.
