Named Jeff Lynne's ELO to counter other splinter bands of the Electric Light Orchestra, the main voice of the band hit NYC for two nights at Madison Square Garden doing an all hits retirement show.  This was the second night.

The show kicked off with a singular new track, "One More Time" from the 2019 From Out Of Nowhere.  That tour was scuttled due to COVID and it is a shame since upon listening to it, it's a pretty solid Lynne album.  Every track sounds familiar.  Lynne stuck to all hits otherwise and one ofter another was impressive.

Rooney was touring as an opener.  Our friend Dana that got us on the list, missed them last night so we ran to catch them.  Apparently we missed their first and "best" song.  They charted commercially in the early aughts, but I managed to never hear a note of theirs not even from the #42 Billboard 200 peaking album Calling The World from 2007.  I did guess correctly they were from LA, they seem to mine that commercial pop-rock that shares space with stuff like U2.
