The show on everybody's lips at the Stu Spasm film I Should Have Been Dead Years Ago Wednesday night was Vestments at Mama Tried. This served as an after party since much of the same audience were at the show including Vestments sax player Nikki D'Agostino and drummer Rich Hutchins who play with Stu in the Art Gray Noizz Quintet.
Oof! had a new album coming and have been around a bit doing a no-wave guitar/sax/drums/vocals thing for 5 albums worth now, but this was the first I had heard them.
Kilynn Lunsford I had seen before. I asked Ryan Skeleton Boy and he reminded me that she was on the bill with Drunks With Guns when Art Gray played with them. She sounds like a cross of Siouxsie and Yoko Ono into a delay pedal. The drummer and bass player I thought were very tight sounding and the keyboardist/guitarist was busy behind a wall of stuff.
