My second Black Flag show in a week was notably different in feel.  This was primarily because it was on a boat circling the East River.  Halftime means you get the Statue of Liberty up close and personal.  Also, the new hit "Fucked Up" was so familiar I actually had the mic shoved in my face for the chorus.  "Yell till your throat bleeds" as they say.  When Ginn shook my hand I noted that it was an easy anthem.  It was actually a song recorded back in 2013 when Ginn & Vallely were playing as Good For You.

Ginn seemed in good spirits as the boat was rocking the audience.  There was some feedback action pissing off Mike V and that happened in Newark also.  He needs loud monitors so he doesn't blow out his vocals he tells us, but then when the monitors go up, so does the feedback.  It's a losing game with some places.

The question of the day posed by Mike V. "The next 3 songs are from My War.  They seem pretty heavy for a boat. Should we skip 'em?"  We got "Can't Decide"/"Swinging Man"/"Nothing Left Inside" so that answered that.  As if we'd expect anything else on The First Four Years tour that brought up "I've Had It" and "Fix Me" and "Nervous Breakdown" as well as "Rise Above" and the traditional "Louie Louie."

Pretty much the same 2 sets as Friday, but more fun crammed in the basement of a boat.
