I saw a second "E" band from Norway in a week, Enslaved, as I have every couple years for the better part of a decade. Enslaved are an overall excellent band with at this point a massive discography. While they might have had some Black Metal roots, they have evolved into a serious prog and hard rock band. The band had to stay in Secaucus to fly out early to Milwaukee for a metal fest so there wasn't the after-show meetup at Beauty Bar that happened after a couple years back. Fortunately, Gramercy Theater has the basement bar (unmanned/womaned, heresy!) that a meet 'n' greet for paying fans was being held.
Infinity Ring did their tuvan throat sounding drone thing with a violinist. They hail from Boston. This was the second time since this blog started that I was in a venue when they were playing and didn't watch their set, although this time they were on the closed-circuit television in the basement bar with an active bartender and plenty of seats. At first I thought I’d take a clip of the band on closed circuit TV, but that thought was fleeting, plus I had a clip from their Desertfest appearance.
